Prior to relocation to Tampa by Carl A. Nelson and Co. in early 1985 (Canco acquired that firm's Florida division in early 1986), he was Vice President for S.M. Wilson and Company/Holding Company (parent firm of C.A. Nelson and Co.) and was on the Boards of both Wilson and Nelson Companies.

Prior to joining Nelson in 1983, Mr. Prahl spent 10 years in sales and management with a major steel builder manufacturer, with the last three as regional manager in a 13 state area for Varco-Pruden Buildings Company...

Terry Bevilacqua
GENERAL MANAGER

Employed with Canco as a project manager since 2002, Terry has a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Terry’s 25+ years of construction experience includes being a partner in a Pennsylvania contracting firm that represented Varco-Pruden Buildings and working as a Project Manager on a sizeable project in South Africa. Completed projects with Canco include the headquarters for Artistic Tile in Apopka, a complex expansion of the South Bumby Church of Christ in Orlando, FL, Tampa Spring Company in Lakeland, and the $4.5 million Reddy Ice facility in Plant City. Terry recently completed three new medical centers in Lakeland totaling 33,000 square feet, and a large waste recycling facility for Pinellas County, FL, and is currently breaking ground on a $1.8 million Phase II project for Messiah Lutheran Church in Tampa, FL.

Lawrence (Larry) Mason, CPA
Controller

Larry, a 1980 graduate of Lake Superior State University, joined Canco in 1995 after being Senior Accountant with a Tampa based accounting firm that specialized in services to contractors and subcontractors.

Larry oversees the accounting department led by long time Canco employee, Janet Otteni.

The accounting department handles payables, receivables, coding of job estimates and job cost accounting, as well as payroll.

Larry also handles the company insurance programs, employee benefits, and is company Safety Director.

He is past President of the local chapter of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

Kurt L. Denzel
Vice President 

Mr. Denzel is also a native of Illinois and a graduate of Greenville College with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.

Mr. Denzel spent twelve years working for a consulting engineering firm in central Illinois where he became both a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Land Surveyor in Illinois.

Prior to being transferred to Florida in 1986, Kurt worked for six years with S. M. Wilson and Company, the parent company of Carl A. Nelson Company.

Todd Roush

SE DIVISION MANAGER

Todd joined the Canco team in March of 2010 as the Division Manager for our Greenville, SC office. Todd brings with him a 23 year background in construction beginning as a draftsman in 1987 working his way up to Steel Building Division Manager for a General Contractor in Pennsylvania and for the last 3 years as District Sales Manager in South Carolina and Northeast Georgia for Varco Pruden Buildings. Todd graduated from Thaddeus Stevens State School of Technology in Lancaster, PA with an Associate degree in Architectural Drafting. He graduated with honors, received the prestigious Architectural Award and continued his education with engineering courses as Millersville University in PA.

Janet Otteni
Accounting Systems Manager

Jann has been with Canco since its formation in 1986. Jann is originally from Pennsylvania where she was employed with the Lord Corporation for 19 years before moving to Florida. Jann graduated from Erie Business Center and attended Edinboro State University. Jann is responsible for all accounts payable and is very capable of assisting in any capacity as needed throughout the company.

Georgana (Gana) Baldwin
Contracts Administrator

She handles office administration, is executive secretary to Mr. Prahl and is responsible for customer service. Her duties include administration of all client contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and client invoicing. Gana is responsible for the editing and execution of all proposals and assists the Project Managers with estimating and bids. She  is also assistant safety director and handles the few worker's compensation injuries the company has, and generally assists wherever needed within the company.

Based on the complexity and demands of individual projects, Project Managers may be responsible for one to as many as three or four individual projects at the same time.

Project Superintendents report to the assigned Project Managers with both directing their efforts at project scheduling, cost and quality control as well as client satisfaction. The seven full time superintendents are monitored by General Superintendent Larry Braymore, a ten year Canco employee.

A considerable portion of the compensation paid to salaried employees is based upon their meeting the Company's Commitment To Client Satisfaction.

The average Canco Project Manager has been with the company more than five years and has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry.
