Canco General Contractors, Inc. was formed in early 1986, when Canco President John D. Prahl, Vice President Kurt L. Denzel, and two area business leaders as investment partners, acquired the Tampa office of the Midwest based Carl A. Nelson Company. Today, under the ownership of Prahl and management of both Prahl and Denzel, the company enjoys an enviable reputation which allows the negotiation of over eighty-five percent of its contracts with only a small percentage from the invited bid market.
